Great tune, great flick, just a total combination of culture, style and recreation of one mans journey. The soundtrack fits the movie like a glove. Pass it on!!!

Eddie Vedder is truly the man upstairs, he´s touching your deepest inner self with his voice his sound and lyrics - Bon Jovi can´t, and will never be able of that - it´s simple, he has never traveled through "the other side" in the same way as Mr. Vedder.
Peace - and stop that war!
absolute gold . eddie's voice sparks something from inside . he is the only man i would turn gay for !!!

March 13 2008 at 10:59 AM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyNot only is Vedder better than Bon Jovi, but he is far less pretentious. It's not Vedder Jam.
February 25 2008 at 4:39 PM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down Replythis album is great which never came as a surprise, Eddie Vedder's style is perfect in the matching of style with the movie by sean penn. Eddie vedder is a Grunge rock God and on his very own level. Never to be mentioned in the same sentence as "Bon Jovi."
February 10 2008 at 11:15 AM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyInto The Wild is an amazing film....and was an amazing book (story) I love the soundtrack..mainly because it is the music of my adolescence and also was a very special time in America. I think Eddie Vedder certainly captured the music and brought a new audience to some otherwise forgotten songs. I just wish that the original artists would get the recognition that they so deserve...after all they were the ones that wrote and performed the music first. Where are they now? Why not commission them to record the soundtrack? Just questions....things to ponder.......
